Crypto users can lose access to legitimate funds when stablecoin issuers and institutions freeze assets because enforcement measures are not always precise enough to distinguish illicit funds from lawful holdings, according to Jan Philipp Fritsche, co-founder of Bermuda.

He explained that legitimate users can sometimes be caught up in actions intended to target criminal activity.
